Good morning lovely people!!!
No summer playlist is complete without Kenny Chesney. His music is like, the very definition of summertime.
“It’s playing way too loud, and having a whole lot of fun doing it.” — Kenny Chesney
Have a great week!
Y’all. I can’t stop playing this song. HELP ME.
Actually, wait. Don’t. I love it too much.
I “discovered” Cole Swindell while watching a video on LBTV (that’s, *ahem*, Luke Bryan TV on Youtube). He’s a lesser-known artist, but after hearing this song, I predict a LOT more from him in the future. Have a great week!
Goooood morning! I hope your weekend’s treating you well. And if not, this song should help perk you up a little.
The amazing Jessa Russo has created an auction to benefit one of our own in the writing community. Because of the flooding in High River, Alberta, Tamara Mataya (@FeakySnucker on Twitter) and her father have lost both their jobs. Every little bit helps in times like this, you guys. Hop on over to www.jessarusso.com and see what’s up for grabs.
Have a great week! ❤
Hi guys!!! I took a little break, but Sing-Along Sunday is back with a new series: Sweet Summertime. What’s there not to love about summer?
Forget about the 100+ temps and humidity. Fair warning that there’s going to be lots of country on this list because . . . well, it’s my list and I do what I want.
This week, we have one of my favorite new songs of 2013. Pull up a beach chair, y’all. It’s summertime and the living’s easy. Have a great week!
We’re less than two weeks away. Let the nail-biting commence, y’all. I love this story so much, and I truly hope you guys will, too.
This week wraps up the Countdown to KINGDOM COME segment of Sing-Along Sunday, and I thought it’d be fitting to post a song that fits not only with this book, but its sequel, as well.
“I will be a revolution. Be a voice beyond these lies . . . if it takes my life.” Sing it, Kerrigan.
HI GUYS. I’VE HAD COFFEE. LOTS OF IT.
I can’t believe that we’re just over two weeks away from release day!
The Fray can do no wrong in my book. “Be Still” actually plays a HUGE part in KINGDOM COME’s sequel, but it was also worn out while I wrote KC.
I hope you guys have a great week!
This week’s song is brought to you thanks to my husband and his awesome taste in music. “Iridescent” was actually featured in one of the Transformers movies, but I’d forgotten all about it until I heard it on my husband’s playlist in the car one morning. The rest, as they say, is history. 😉
We’re hitting the home stretch here, guys. Just a little over three weeks to go!
So. This song. It gives me a lot of feelings.
I have a lot of fun with the relationship between Kerrigan and Ethan, but KINGDOM COME is not a love story. It’s a story of having hope, even at the darkest of times. Of witnessing everyone you love being ripped from the world far too soon, and having faith that the goodness in the world will prevail, even when its very core seems shattered.
Shattered. Yeah, that sounds about right.
“All is lost, hope remains, and this war’s not over.”
Also, there may very well be a nifty giveaway over on Twitter this week. Stay tuned! 🙂
Orrrr Musical Monday? Sorry guys. My internet was wonky yesterday. BUT I’m back, with a brand-new song from the KINGDOM COME playlist.
5 weeks, y’all. 5 WEEKS.
This song was on The Hunger Games soundtrack, and I just thought it fit perfectly. I really have no idea why I haven’t shared it yet, because it’s like she’s singing directly to Kerrigan. (Sorry Katniss. Can I borrow the song just this once? Please?)
Good morning guys! I feel like it’s been forever since I posted, even though it’s only been 2 weeks. This week brings you a little Fall Out Boy. They’re a group I listen to whenever I write/edit Bennett’s scenes because I like to imagine he has their music on repeat all day.
Yes, my villain has awesome taste in music. He has to have something going for him, right?
Have a great week!
